Golf Entrance Landscape

The golf entrance landscaping is getting an overhaul. Out with the old and in with the new. Here is a sketch of the new design to highlight the golf area.

The former landscape featured an old spruce tree that was heavily pruned so it did not interfere with the building.

Today's selection for plant materials is far superior to those available 60 years ago. The new design will incorporate a lot more color and compliment the building.

Once the tree was removed, we need to rid the area of all the old roots. The backhoe is coming in handy with the frozen soils. We are removing a lot of woody material.

The backhoe is also helpful with turning over and tilling the soil. If we find too much clay we can have that removed as well.

Prior to planting we will incorporate a better growing medium for new plants to be successful.

Ahead of planting, we are upgrading the electrical and irrigation. We are adding power to improve landscape lighting and provide outlets for holiday lighting next season.

The irrigation is also seeing an upgrade so we can provide proper watering cycles to the new plants.

We have a long list of new plants including eight new trees and plenty of new shrubs, perennials and annuals for all seasons.
