Practice Putting

The putting green is a year old now and it is great to see it being used by all golf members. A few times this season we have seen wear spots from golfers practicing short putts and standing in the same spot for a long period of time.

This practice is great, but not so much for the turf. But there is something you can do to help protect the turf and roll those consistent four foot putts. Simply place a towel under your feet as the picture below indicates. This creates a buffer from the shoe and prevents wear stress. We have seen stress spots take a couple of weeks to heal from this practice.

Thank you for your cooperation.
