Topdressing New Collars

This week we spent time adding more sand to the new greens. This time we are focusing on the collars of the green. We have some areas outside the green that have either settled or just some bumpy spots from the grow-in process.

We use a conveyor belt topdresser that drops sand in narrow pattern, perfect for these collars. After the application, we drag a mat to help the sand settle down into the canopy. This smooths out imperfections little by little over time.

We will continue this practice for a few months until we are satisfied with the results.
