In my time here at the club, this is by far the latest application we have made in any year.
Greens, tees and fairways have seen some fertilizer already in various forms, but our base fertilizer went out this week on all 27 holes.
The fertilizer we use is derived from bone meal and fish meal and can produce a smell during the application. After an irrigation cycle the aroma goes away. Fortunately we have had a few rain events to assist getting the product into the soil. This product will get us all the way through October. We make a second application in the fall to prepare for winter and next spring.
