First Flight

On Tuesday we re-installed two of our three irrigation pumps. They were removed in November and sent to the shop to be rebuilt. The motors are like new and ready for another 15 years of pumping water.

The third pump is scheduled to be rebuilt next year. There is no off-season for irrigation around these parts.

 I took the drone out for the first time this weekend. I certainly need some practice but it takes some great videos and photos from above. I am looking forward to capturing the future of the property from above.

Here is a shot of 8 green on the Maxwell Course. You can really tell how dry conditions are on the course even from way up here.

Carts will be suspended when the golf course re-opens on Thursday until we receive some adequate moisture on the property. The ditches are shut down until April so we are just having to survive on the water stored in our ponds. Keeping traffic to a minimum will improve conditions when the plants start growing in the spring.
