Phase 1 Renovation

Phase 1 Renovation will be underway on the practice areas beginning August 6, 2018. The following information will be helpful during and after the project is complete.

CLOSURES

The large Putting Green will close Aug. 6th and will re-open in May of 2019 (weather dependent). In the meantime, the chipping green will be used for practice putting and will be maintained the same as the Maxwell greens.

The Driving Range will close after the Men's Club Championship on Aug. 20th and re-open in May of 2019 (weather dependent). There will be hitting nets near the chipping green allowed for warm up ahead of golf rounds.

The small putting green for the Pfluger will be undergoing some changes. It will close as needed.

MATURATION

The timing for these closures is related to soil temperature and weather. Late summer and fall is the best time of year to establish and grow grass. The soil temperatures are high to allow seed and sod to adapt to the new soil. The goal is to have grass in place by mid-September to allow the plants to mature enough through the fall and prepare for winter. Keeping these areas closed through winter will assist in maintaining healthy turf to welcome play in the late spring or summer.

The plants will still be immature for the first year of opening in 2019. Speeds will not resemble those on the golf course until year two at the earliest. Stressing the putting green within the first year can be detrimental.

 ACCESS & PARKING

The golf courses will only be accessible from the Bogies Parking lot. Access from the golf shop, pool or terrace will be closed during construction. Approximately half of the Bogies Lot will be used for contractor staging and golf services. Handicap parking will be available in the Bogies Lot. Overflow parking will be in the lower parking lots. Please arrive earlier than normal for your tee time. 

Accessing the golf course around the construction area may change day to day. Please follow designated areas for golfer traffic.
