Our new deeptine aerifier is busy once again, this time on fairways. These channels allow water and snow to freeze and thaw up to 6" below the surface through the winter. This natural fracking process loosens the soil for roots to fill in and strengthen in the springtime.
We will spend the month of November accomplishing this task.

We also began topdressing fairways this week. This is a lengthy process to protect plants for the winter stress along with adding sand and nutrients to the rootzone. This will also improve spring green up and smooth out divots and other imperfections. This blend is comprised of 70% sand and 30% compost for nutrition.
