This past week we had the local Park and Wildlife division come to the golf course and solve the Osprey issue. Recently we have had an aggressive mother Osprey who has been protective of these babies. Golfers on 12 tee and 18 fairway were attacked and some have the scars to prove it.
Dealing with nature can be difficult. Park and Wildlife are here to protect humans from threatening wildlife. In this case the babies were taken and brought to a nearby sanctuary so they can thrive.
The mom will still be around the neighborhood. Hopefully she will nest elsewhere since her babies are gone. But for now the safety concern is gone in this area. We will keep you updated if anything new arises.
