Just Mow

Mowing grass has been our theme this week. After a week of rain, the course has dried out nicely and we can rebound. The course should play real nice this weekend as it firms up. Growth regulators are now in place on fairways to even out growth patterns to maintain consistency.

 

Rough mowers are non stop this week. This year, we lowered out height of cut in the rough to 2 inches. Getting around to 150 acres of rough three times a week can be a tall order some weeks. The rough is growing at such a wild pace right now, it may seem we have not been able to mow the rough for a long time. This week we are playing catch up and with the extended dry weather we expect to be back on track soon.
