Evening Mowing

New this year and in the name of better turf conditions we are moving our fairways, approaches and intermediate rough mows for the evening. Each Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday evening beginning near 4pm the staff will be getting around the Maxwell Course to maintain these areas.  Mowing dry turf always results in a better cut. The lack of moisture reduces the amount clippings and soil to cake on the units and differentiate the height of cut. It also reduces the amount of smearing from earthworm castings which have a negative effect to playability in fairways.

These mowers will no longer be going out in the morning except for the 9 hole course and any driving range work required. The staff will work in gaps of play and move swiftly through the golf course.
