We turn to our next tee improvement at #15. This runway style tee is severely sloped and needs to be corrected. In order to successfully maintain tee space in this area, we will be splitting the tees into two boxes.
We start by mapping out the new tees and recording the elevations. Next we will remove the sod and set it aside. The sod on this tee is mostly salvageable.
The soil is then tilled and the shaping process begins. Splitting up the area into two tees, will require time to move the soil around to match up to the existing grades outside the area. The tees will be off set to maximize teeing grounds, but these improvements will look more natural set on the side of the hill.
