Coyotes at Pinehurst are not a club issue but an issue
throughout the entire state. Colorado is known for its vast and diverse
wildlife and coyotes are wild animals that are commonplace in all urban areas of the Front
Range. So much so that the City and County of Denver has developed a Coyote
Management Plan to handle coyote-human interactions.
Coyotes use golf courses and open spaces as a byways for food
and water (rabbits, varmints, dogs, ponds and streams).
Studies have shown that killing or relocating a coyote does not solve the issue
because there is always another coyote to take its place.

Denver. The grounds staff currently hazes coyote through the winter as we patrol the golf course for geese as well. Clearly our team is not enough to handle coyote and need the help of all homeowners.
