Turf Intern; Patrick McKenzie

Patrick McKenzie was born in Littleton, Colorado on Christmas day 1984.  He began his golf game at the age of six and grew up playing at Southglenn Country Club in Centennial. During his senior year of high school he began working part-time at Southglenn Country Club at the age of 17.
Patrick graduated from Arapahoe High School in 2003 and began attending Metropolitan State College in the fall of 2003.  He began working at Countrywide as a Account Executive in August of 2006.  When the market began failing, Patrick decided to go back to school to pursue a degree in Horticulture.  He began classes at Red Rocks Community College in the spring of 2010 and then transfered to Colorado State University to concentrate on turf classes in the fall of 2012.  He will graduate in May 2014 with a degree in Horticulture and an emphasis in turf grass.
In the fall of 2010, Patrick met his now wife, Margaret, at a Rockies game.  It was love at first site for Patrick (and love at second sight for Margaret).  The two were soon inseparable and two years later to the day they met, on September 8th, they were married at Church of the Risen Christ in Denver.  Family from all over the country joined them in their celebration.  In December of 2012, Margaret and Patrick excitedly broke the news to their family and friends that they were expecting a baby!  Baby McKenzie is due August 20th, 2013. In their spare time, Margaret and Patrick attend Rockies games, walk their dog, barbeque, and prepare for baby McKenzie.
