Today we embarked on adding sand to bunkers to improve conditions for the season.
Sand traps should have a minimum of 4 inches of sand in all areas. In the picture above, the sand should come up to the level of the blue tape. We began by checking sand depths and filling sand wherever needed.
Packing the sand with a mechanical rake to provide firmness to the area.
With the course closed today we were able to make some good headway through the front nine. We will chip away over the next couple of weeks to finish the Maxwell. The Pfluger has been filling bunkers all spring and getting to appropriate depths on the 9 hole course.
