Front Entrance Improvements

With the arrival of spring just around the corner and considering the forecast, now is a great time to plant some new trees. These two old firs trees had a great run at the entrance along Quincy Ave.
They have been carefully maintained over the years to be kept as long as possible. Unfortunately they cease to hold aesthetic value anymore.

After the expansion to Quincy and changes to the landscape they began to go down hill rapidly. Today we will take these trees down and begin the replacement process.

We are excited to replace these trees with a couple of new trees. We have a Pondersoa Pine and a Colorado Blue Spruce scheduled to go into the ground on Monday. Over the next couple of days we will be busy removing the old trees and stumps and preparing the area for the new trees.

The new pine and spruce will be placed in a slightly new location, just steps away from the old location. Planting in an old root system can be detrimental to the new tree as it would limit it's root growth. The height of the trees is obviously not going to be as grand as the current height of the firs. The new trees are 12-15 feet high. Planting younger trees relates to a higher success rate and adaptability to the new area.
