Harriman Update

I visited Harriman Reservoir today to see how things are coming along. Construction has been underway for about a year now and they will soon be completed.

The dam on the west end of the reservoir is almost complete. The outlet structure construction had run into some problems and has delayed the filling process.

According to Denver Water, things are getting closer to completion. Depending on temperature, they will be filling the reservoir as soon as possible. It depends on Bear Creek flows on how quickly it will fill.

Historically (during a normal year) this water is being used at the club by late July or early August. The Harriman reservoir is used for irrigation purposes only, not for drinking water.
