Getting After Geese

You may have caught this story on 9News today. This is called the "Goosinator". It has been developed by golf course superintendents (no surprise). This new product has created a bit of a stir around these parts.

The City of Denver just purchased one and is giving it plenty of action. There are a few other local golf courses that are seeing some success.

Like many tactics against geese, there are many fads out there. Nothing has been more consistent than a good goose dog. However, I think this product may be onto something. We will monitor the success of the product locally, as it is a considerable investment. I do have to credit the developers though, it is quite nasty looking.

Currently we are running up to three dogs around the property to keep geese away. We are seeing positive results with more active dogs against the geese.
