We have begun with leveling tees this fall. Our first victim is the forward tee on #2 on the Pfluger.
This tee is the worst on the property. First we remove the sod and neatly stack it off to the side to use again once completed. Next we till the soil and use a transit to re-work the proper grading.
The tee will have a 1% slope from the front to the back for drainage purposes. It will remain in the same location so distances will not change. The tee is plenty large enough and does not require more space. The problem with an un-level tee is that the entire teeing ground is not adequately used by golfers. Completing this project will ensure the entire tee is playable.
