July: By the Numbers

I can't say that I would miss the weather in the month of July, but it was better than June.
Meteorologists claim that it was the hottest July on record in Denver.
According to our data, we recorded 19 days in the 90 degree range, topping out at 97.8 degrees on July 1st.
We received 1.79 inches of rainfall, which primarily fell on July 6, 7, 8 and 16th. We had to pump 18.4 million gallons of water to keep the course playable. We pumped about 4 million gallons less than the 8 year historical average for the month of July. Of course we were on some restrictions for the first week of the month. If water availability was not an issue, we could have reached the average to keep up with the 6.14 inches of evaporation. This is slightly behind June's record breaking 6.77 inches of evaporation loss.
Finally, no snow fall for the month.
