US Open Week

Click Here for a great interview with Mike Davis, the executive director of USGA, about this year's US Open conditions. Back to the Olympic Club and the course is playing firm and fast. There are some differences in course set up this year. Last year's winning score was not designed by the USGA, but more by Mother Nature, as you remember they had four days of wet conditions.

All of the greens on the course have been re-grassed to a straight stand of bentgrass, no more poa annua.

This picture is of the 670 yard, par 5 16th hole, the longest hole in Open history. There has been a lot of talk about it and play has yet to begin. Enjoy the toughest test in golf.
