A Dam Leak

Sunday we began to notice a slight sink hole in the cart path on #3 on the Maxwell Course. The cart path runs along the top of a dam for Vaille Lake. We began pot-holing down to see where and how the water was flowing.
You will never hear me complain about moisture, but with the large rainfall we had this weekend, the added pressure had built up to cause some issues in the dam.

The water from the pond is leaking through the dam and around the pipe and wing walls under the cart path. This leak creates unstable ground and washes away the soil.

We had a local water engineer out on Monday and he will be coming by today to assist us with making the appropriate repairs. At this time, it will most likely be a temporary fix with a more permanent solution in the near future.

We apologize for any inconvenience as golfers need to access 3 green via the bridge on #4. Our goal is to have this completed by the weekend, but safety and proper water storage is our main concern right now.
