At the end of September we had some blockage in the Ft. Logan ditch which provides the club with irrigation water. With shorter days and cooler temperatures we could get away with limited flows and availability. However, with the recent snow fall we have had zero need for irrigation water and have turned off the ditch. Drying down the ditch has allowed us to get a peek into what is going on in that 18 inch concrete pipe.
Below is an 11 minute video of 275 feet of pipe. It is not flashy by any means, but certainly educational.
Steve,
ReplyDeleteI think your blog is great. Information and explanation as to why you are doing, or not doing something on the course should reduce the amount of griping...maybe.
A question: It seems that you are applying a lot more fairway sand over the last week or so. Is this due to an issue with the turf or is this your "usual" fall prep?
