First Week

It has been a great first few days here at Pinehurst. I have been spending time with Lee Terry understanding his operation. His smile continues to get bigger and bigger through the week as visions of fly rods and Big Sky country dance in his head.

I was greeted with the Sally Cup on my first day. A spirited group of ladies battled it out on the Maxwell Course playing a Ryder Cup format tournament.
Nick's Chicks defeated Kevin Vena's team by a very narrow margin of 6.5 to 5.5.

As for the course conditions, with autumn staring at us in the face, the staff is gearing up with final applications of seed and fertilizer to prepare for the winter months. October will bring some more sand topdressing throughout the course. More information on topdressing to follow.
